ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO!
The Phantoms won Game 1 of their North Division Finals series last night, 2-1, over the U.S. National Team at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.
Mike Fillinger and Eric Ringel scored second period goals and Ryan Zapolski made 25 saves as the Phantoms staved off a U.S. rally in the final minutes to take the series opener.
Now the series shifts to the Ice Zone in Boardman, where the Phantoms can clinch the series with Games 2 and 3 this Friday and Saturday. Face-off both nights is at 7:30 p.m.
Fans, these are likely the Phantoms' final home games this season; so come out and cheer on the team in their continued quest to win the North American Hockey League's Robertson Cup!
