THE PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!
After 62 games, the Phantoms are one of 12 teams chasing a national championship!
The Phantoms host the first two games of the best-of-five first-round series against the Marquette Rangers tomorrow and Friday, as the 2007 Robertson Cup playoffs kick off at the Ice Zone. The opening face-off both nights is at 7:30 p.m.
The top-seeded Phantoms (47-14-1) finished 9-2-0 against fourth-seeded Marquette (25-32-5) this season, outscoring the Rangers 54-23.
Tickets for both games are available by calling (330) 965-1423. Prices are $11 for Club Seating, $10 for General Admission and $8 for students.
Left winger Miles Winter was named the NAHL's North Division Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season. The native of Horsham, Pa. scored three goals in the Phantoms' two wins over the U.S. National Team on Mar. 30-31.
Winter becomes the seventh Phantom to receive the weekly honor. He joins three-time winner and goaltender Ryan Zapolski, right wing Nathan Longpre, center Chad Boeckman, right wing Alden Hirschfeld, right wing Janis Purins and center Dustin Cloutier.
PHANTOMS TRYOUT CAMP
Do you have what it takes to play for a winning organization? The Phantoms are holding a pair of three-day tryout camps for prospective players as the team considers their 2007-2008 roster.
The Arctic Pond in Plymouth, Mich. will serve as the host site for the Phantoms' first tryout camp, held Friday-Sunday, May 18-20.
A second camp will be held at the Phantoms' home rink, the Ice Zone, Friday-Sunday, June 1-3.
Players from each of the two tryout camps will be selected to participate at the Phantoms' four-day final invitational camp, to be held Thursday-Sunday, July 19-22 at the Ice Zone.
